WEST DOCK DATA

SOIL, GRID
& HEAVOMETER DATA

Collection of West Dock data began in June 2000. Data collection thus far has involved the measurement of thaw depths on the 10 x 10 meter square grid, the mapping of the vegetation, aerial photography, installation of a heaveometer, installation of soil and climatological data collection instrumentation, and installation of 50 meter long transects (2) for measuring size/density of frost boils, as well as to aid in characterization of the vegetation.
