Collection
of Sagwon MAT data began in June 2000. Data collection thus far has involved
the measurement of thaw depths on the 10 x 10 meter square grid, the mapping
of the vegetation, aerial photography, installation of heaveometers, installation
of soil and climatological data collection instrumentation, and installation
of 50 meter long transects (2) for measuring size/density of frost boils,
as well as to aid in characterization of the vegetation.
